Predominantly, there is a beautiful stretch of lime trees along the private avenues on this private estate. Bees are so addicted to lime, it is like listening to a swarm above your head when they are working the trees! Not only is there lime trees, there are plenty of cultivated fruit and vegetables in the walled garden for the bees and can work in the surrounding woodlands and hedgerows.
Often these bees are migrated to the New Forest in August as there is not much choice for them once the main summer flow has finished. Yes, bees go on holiday too! They love it!
